Western Region, Ghana

Where the tide meets the land, our community takes root.

Tidal Roots Ghana restores mangrove forests, secures clean water, and equips coastal communities with the tools to face a changing climate — led by the people who call this shoreline home.

Our Mission

Healthy shorelines mean healthy communities.

Founded by fisherfolk, teachers, and young environmentalists in Takoradi, Tidal Roots Ghana works alongside coastal towns to replant mangroves, protect drinking water, and turn waste into opportunity. We believe lasting change starts with the people already living closest to the problem — and the solution.

  • Community-first design — every project is co-planned with local residents.
  • Science-backed restoration methods adapted to the Western Region's ecology.
  • Transparent reporting — track exactly where every donated cedi goes.
